Applause For Your Website |
I put my 3-month old into 1 exclusive
daycare (which ate up almost 50% of my take-home pay) where the following
occurred (just some examples and she was only there about 3 months):
1. She was "lost in the crowd" because she was a good baby and did not cry.
Most of the day was spent on "crowd control" - calming down the criers and
breaking up fights amongst the young toddlers (room up to age 1).
2. There were so many providers I lost track and they would never introduce
themselves to me.
etc.
*Please note that this was a HIGHLY regarded commercial daycare, not an
informal or facility with mediocre reviews.
Still, I did not see the light and
put her in a BRAND NEW facility. WHAT WAS I THINKING?
At 6 months she went into another highly regarded and "new and exclusive
facility." Within 3 months of its opening, it was overcrowded and
understaffed.
I am not writing this to make working
mothers feel guilty. Absolutely not. I am not trying to make anyone feel
badly for their decisions. I am highlighting my
truthful and heartbreaking experiences because mothers, like I was, may not
realize that these things are routine at the most expensive suburban
daycares that give your tours that make it look like baby paradise. It's a
commercial business, not an altruistic offering to help raise your child
like their own. |

I am glad to have found your site....
Both my husband and I were day care kids and we vowed never to do that
to a child of our own.
If your site has convinced just one family not to put their child in day
care then you have done your
part... Thank you!! |

Finally!
I am so sick and tired of my colleagues at work trying to pressure me to get
my tow-year-old daughter put into daycare...
Day "not" care centers are the worst for children!
Keep up the good work! |

Thank God for this web-site (Daycares
Don't Care) . It has quote after quote upon quote from former daycare
workers that tells the truth about these PEDIATRIC PRISONS. If any parent
has ever wanted to be a fly on the wall in his/her child's daycare facility,
this is the closest they are going to get.
...It should be mandatory for parents to read if they are even thinking
about putting their kids into daycare... |

I was cared for by a succession of
daycares and nannies from infancy through age 11... To this day, even as an
adult, (my mother) still feels like a stranger to me. |

I know someone who just got a job
working in a daycare. One thing she noticed right away was that the workers
gravitate to the cute children and the plain ones don't get as much
attention. |

I found your site and for the first

born).
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for effort. |
