Never ever again |
Thank you for your website. It helps to
reinforce my feelings on this subject.
...we put our little girl in a daycare that we deemed worthy. We researched
them and visited first, and felt this was the best one. We paid for camera
access...(but) those cameras don't tell you tone of voice and (the kids) are
not on camera at all times. So you never really know.
The first day, my little girl was great about (the daycare)....
The third day she was at the point of crying and not wanting to let go of us
as we dropped her off. When I picked her up this time...she made no sound.
She was near catatonic...One of the care givers admitted that my daughter
spent the majority of the day sitting in front of the glass doors, staring
and waiting for us to pick her up. She would cry every time an adult walked
by...hoping it was her mommy or daddy.
How in heck can anyone think that it's OK for your child to see you only two
hours a day?! Of course they will be depressed and broken. It's absolutely
not natural.

Thank You |
Finally there is a website to give
people a reality check. I think every parent should review this website
prior to farming their kids off to daycare.

Thank you! |
I absolutely love your site! No one
cares for a child as much as their own mommy, I don't care how "good" the
day care is. Your website is insightful, witty, and informative. Some of the
things that I read really make me laugh, and much of it makes me cry for
these children.

For your disease list |
...in the space of 3 months (in a
daycare, my friend's) child contracted
Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease.
Worse still, the nursery gave her daughter
conjunctivitis as a goodbye
present.
I think your website is great. My health visitor tried to persuade me to
send my daughter to nursery, but with ideas from your website she added up
lost for words. She has never brought up this subject since!
Thank you

Thank you for your wonderful website and the service you are doing for our
children, daycare is one of the worst scourges on our society.

Wow!....was so glad your site came up on the first page of the Google
search! This site is so important.
I also had worked in some daycares...as my specialty is education, and saw
all the things your site reports with my own eyes.
A quick search and reading about the "scientific motherhood" movement will
reveal how we have come here, and how in the early industrial revolution
mothers had to be oriented away from their families and toward factories,
and how the propaganda focused on the "superiority" of the "scientific"
approach to life, which included beliefs that formula was superior to
mothers' milk, how working mothers were superior to home-based..., and how
factory food was superior to home cooking, as well as hospital birthing
superior to home birthing...all in the name of "progress".
Your list of comments are so important because they just aren't
publicized....
Listen to that gift given to you by nature, the gift of that little voice
(inside yourself) that tells you what your child really wants...your arms,
the light and joy in your eyes and voice, your touch, your complete and
total abandon to the power of love. No hired hand can give those gifts and
those gifts are why your child came to you.

Thank you so much for all the work you
have put into your website. Encouraging moms to stay at home with thier
children and the damaging effects of daycare have been a passion of mine for
many years. |
